KIEHLS MEET UP HAUL..

So as I mentioned in my last blog post, I went to a meet up with Hello October and I Covet Thee at the Kiehls store in Regent Street. I've always wanted to try some Kiehls skincare, and it was the perfect time to purchase a few things as they were offering 20% off!

As I got to speak to a dermatologist at the event, it really helped me understand what products would help my skin and what my skin type really is.

The first product I purchased was the hydro-plumping re-texturising serum concentrate. It's really great for adding moisture to your skin. It is supposed to minimise pores and smooth your skin from any fine lines and impurities. It's a really strange consistency, it's more like a gel and it sinks into the skin really quickly. I put it on morning and night before I moisturise and so far i'm really enjoying using it.

I also purchased the Midnight Recovery Concentrate. I've heard a lot about this product and I love using oil on my skin so I thought i'd give it a go. I put this on after my serum and before my moisturiser, and only at night. As the dermatologist said, your skin does all of its repairing and recovery at night. Using the product will even your skin out and ensure that it looks clearer and glowing. I really love the smell of this product, it smells kind of herbal and mediciney (is that even a word?!) and really feels like it's fixing my skin.

Lastly, I purchased the Blue Herbal Spot Treatment. The dermatologist said that everyone should have one of these in their skincare cupboard. It's a gel consistency and it really stings when you put it on a spot... But I kind of like that because I feel like it's doing something good!

Additionally, we also got a mini goodie bag to take away with us which was amazing. In the goodie bag were travel sizes of the Ultra Facial Moisturiser (which is amazing and i'm definitely going to buy the full size!), The Ultimate Strength Hand Salve and The Nourishing Body Moisturiser.

So overall i'm so happy with the products that I purchased. If you have sensitive, spot prone but slightly dry skin like mine.. then these products are definitely worth giving a go. Please feel free to ask any questions to have about the products! Have you tried any Kiehls products? What are your favourites?

KIEHLS MEET UP WITH ICOVETTHEE AND HELLO OCTOBER..

I was lucky enough to win tickets to meet two of my favourite beauty bloggers I Covet Thee and Hello October. It was so overwhelming and exciting, and I felt so lucky to be able to attend the event. They both came across so down to earth and relatable, which is obviously why I love to watch their videos..

It felt so surreal actually meeting them in person. As I watch their daily vlogs and beauty videos so frequently, it already felt like I knew them and they were so friendly and exactly as I thought they would be. It was also so amazing for the event to be held at Kiehls. I have been interested in the brand for a while, and have always been eager to try some of their skincare. I got a real insight into the brand at the event last night, and got the chance to speak to a dermatologist which was so helpful and really helped me understand what my skin needed. I ended up splurging on some skincare, but that all will be coming in a blog post very soon.. so keep your eyes peeled..

MY THOUGHTS ON BLOGGING..

Everybody is blogging these days..  Over the past few years it has become insanely popular and a great way to express opinions, thoughts and reviews. A lot of people seem to come across biased and negative when talking about blogging, and often mock it by making out that it can't be a career and it's all a load of crap. However, I couldn't disagree more.

I think by creating a blog it really allows you to share your opinions, enthuse about your passions if it's fashion, beauty, food, travel and communicate with other people who also share your interests. I don't think you should take blogging too seriously.. you should always start it as a hobby, as something you enjoy and not as something you 'have' to do or try to make money out of it because it just won't work.

Once you start to build up a few readers of your blog, it really drives you to keep going and create amazing content consistently. That really is something that I love about blogging, it can be so rewarding and you can meet some great people through it.

So, whenever anybody talks about possibly starting a blog I would always encourage them to do so. Even if it doesn't work out, or you don't enjoy it there is no harm in giving it a go.

What are your thoughts on blogging? Is it a phase or here to stay?

NOVEMBER FAVOURITES..

So, my November favourites are finally up. I've been a bit rubbish with blog posts over the past two weeks because of uni work, my part time job and general life.. sorry! But i'm back to normal now and I will be posting at least twice a week..

I found it quite difficult to think of my favourite items this month as i've been so distracted by my uni work, but i've managed to cut it down to 6 products that i've constantly been using and loving over November.

So, first of all I knew I had to include the Kate Moss Rimmel Lipstick in shade 45.. it is such a gorgeous nude, with slight a brown undertone. I prefer my nudes to be slightly more brown as they suit my skin tone more than pinky nudes. It's such a creamy, comfortable consistency and for £5.49 you really can't go wrong..

I've been wearing this Rimmel lipliner in cappuccino underneath the Kate Moss lipstick constantly because it adds more staying power and even more of a brown undertone to your lips. The lipliner is definitely one to rival Mac lipliners.. they are so smooth and easy to apply. Also, they are only £3.99! If you scroll down to the bottom of this post there is a picture of me wearing this lip combo so you can get an idea of what they look like..

So i've really been loving drugstore make up at the moment as my next favourite is the Maybelline colour tattoo cream eyeshadow in the shade 'On and on bronze'. These things are bloody amazing.. they are so quick and easy, you can literally swipe some of the product on your lid and your good to go.. Another of my favourite shades in this product is 'Creamy beige'. Definitely check these ones out.

Moving on from make up, I actually have a favourite deodorant this month. I've heard a lot about Mitchum and I thought i'd give it a go. The scent is really lovely, it's not an artificial smell but more fresh and soapy. The lasting power of this deodorant is amazing, it lasts all day which is obviously a plus..
Additionally, another scent i've been loving is The Body Shop White Musk. This scent really reminds me of my early teens. I think it's because I used to have it when I was about 12/13. I really love soft, musky smells and it's such a great everyday perfume.

Lastly.. The cactus. I just love them. They add such a cool, minimal look to a room. I now have two in my room, and two succulents. It's getting a tad excessive. You don't really need to look after them, and they don't die easily. Whats not to love?
