THE PERFECT WINTER BOOTS..

I mentioned these beautiful boots in my YouTube haul video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFiLJ3y-t7w) and I personally thought they deserved their own blog post.. because I love them that much..

They are real leather, so they are super comfortable to wear. They just seem to make any outfit look amazing. They have a block heel so they are still easy to walk in and they add just a little bit of height which I quite like. The detail that I love most about these boots is the fringing and studs on the boots, they are just so eye catching and I've had so many compliments and questions about where they are from..

I think they look like they could be designer shoes, but amazingly they are from New Look. Yes, New Look! New Look have seriously upped their game, their premium collection is gorgeous with some real staple pieces. The boots were £64.99, which for real leather boots, I think is pretty amazing. Go and check them out before they sell out!

CURRENT BEAUTY FAVOURITES

So I've decided that after every month I will have a review of what my favourite beauty products have been. They change so frequently and I'm always trying out new make up items and skincare products. During September, I was still clinging onto looking slightly summery. So using light, sun kissed blushes and lots of highlighter was a must..

I'm so happy I purchased the Make Up Revolution Blush Palette in Hot Spice. Everytime I went into Superdrug it seemed to be sold out, and I completely understand why. All the shades add a lovely, healthy glow to your cheeks. The two end shades can be used as highlighters also. Additionally.. this palette was only £6.00. It can't get much better.

I've had this Nars Highlighter in the shade Albatross for a while now. Sometimes I forget about it, and then I rediscover it about in my make up stash and love it all over again. It looks quite white/silver, but on the skin it adds such a gorgeous, slightly golden glow. It looks so good on the top of the cheekbones.

As you can see from my favourites, I've been loving highlighters this past month. This Topshop Glow pot in Polished is slightly different. It's a cream highlighter, so it looks more natural and dewy on the skin. During the day I would just lightly pat this on the tops of my cheekbones, on my brow bone and down the centre of my nose. However on nights out, I will put the Nars Highlighter in Albatross on, and then dab a bit of this on the top for an extra glow.

This fragrance is beautiful. It is so difficult to describe perfumes in a written description, but if you like musky but fresh and slightly floral scents.. then you will love this. It's been the scent I have been wearing everyday this summer, but I will carry on wearing this through the autumn and winter months.

This YSL 'kiss and blush' in shade 12 is the perfect nude. It is a typical 'your lips but better' shade. I usually line my lips with the Mac Soar Lip Liner, and put this over the top. It is such a lovely creamy texture. You do need to top this up throughout the day, but definitely worth trying out.

This Mac Lipliner in Soar has been a favourite of mine for about a year.. so I thought I'd give it a mention in this post. It is such a lovely colour, that can be built up to create quite a dark plumy pink shade or you can wear it as a neutral shade underneath a nude lipstick. Definitely a must have in everyones make up bag..

Getting ready for autumn..

So, Autumn has pretty much arrived now and I'm so happy it's here. I love the autumn trends and I generally prefer winter clothing to summer clothing. This post is just displaying how you can style and put together outfits for the transitional season ..

I absolutely love pairing camel and black together, it looks so chic and sophisticated. I really love wearing tailored trousers and dressing them down with trainers or plimsolls, it adds that sports luxe vibe which i'm really into.

BUILDING UP MY MAC PALETTE..

So it was recently my birthday, and I was lucky enough to get a Mac eyeshadow palette. However, it was not full with beautiful, glittering eyeshadows. It was empty. But this made me even happier, as I can create my own palette with all of my own choices of shades, mattes, shimmers, and glittery eyeshadows. This palette is going to take a long time until it is complete, as Mac eyeshadows are £10 each, and there are 15 slots to fill...
But I think this adds to the excitement and i'm aiming to add at least one eyeshadow a month. So far, i've bought four to add to the collection..

From left to right: Sumptuous Olive, Patina, Coppering and Cork.

I'm so happy with these colours and they look so beautiful on the lid. I want my palette to be made of shades that are wearable during the day but also something you can build upon to be suitable for a nightout. However much I wish I was daring and adventurous enough to try bright blues, greens and pinks I think i'm happy sticking to my neutrals.

In the photos above I have just brushed cork all over the lid and it goes amazingly well with my green eyes. It's just such a versatile colour, and I know I will be wearing every single day from now on!

MY EVERYDAY SKINCARE ROUTINE

So recently, I've found my perfect skincare routine that really works for me. I have dry/sensitive/spot prone skin, and I've always struggled with finding products that don't aggravate or cause more problems for my skin. Over the past year I've been trying out endless products, from high end to drug store, and these are my top four products...

The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Oil.

I use this product to take my make up off every day. It's so gentle on the skin, but it removes every single bit of make up off my face and makes my skin feel so clean and soft. It even manages to remove waterproof mascara! It smells amazing and it's not super expensive, I can't imagine my skin care routine without it.

Una Brennan Salicylic Acid Cleansing Wash.

I heard so much about the Una Brennan range in the blogging world and I was so eager to try her stuff out, as I know the products are targeted to spot prone skin. I use this product about 3 times a week after I cleanse my skin. It does feel like the product really gives my skin a deep cleanse and gets all the dirt and impurities out. If I use this product too many times in a week, it does dry my skin out. But overall I do feel like this product has helped improve my skins overall appearance.

Rosehip Facial Oil.

I have family that live in Somerset, and the nearest village to them has so many lovely little boutiques. One of them is called 'Herbs on the hill' which is so similar to Lush. I've heard that Rosehip Oil is amazing for spot prone skin, making your skins texture a lot smoother and helping hyper pigmentation. There is a lot of hype around the Liz Earle SuperSkin Concentrate Oil which contains Rose Hip Oil, so I thought I'd give pure Rose Hip Oil a go! I put it on after my serum, and it feels incredible on my skin. After about 3/4 days of using it I started to notice a difference on my skin, the texture of it was smoother and any spots I had started to fade.

Indeed Labs Pepta Bright

I heard about this product from one of my favourite bloggers 'thepersianbabe' as she also has problem skin. Whenever I have a spot, I put a little bit of this on overnight and then the next day it would have faded a significant amount. I can't imagine now being without this product as it's helped my skin so much!

SUNNY DAY IN CAMBRIDGE

Last weekend I got the chance to spend the day in Cambridge and explore as I have never been before. It was probably one of the most 'typically english' places I've ever been to, and what I mean by that is that there were loads of lovely little boutiques selling art, clothing and jewellery, pubs that were full of people drinking pimms and eating fish and chips and adorable little ice cream stands.

The weather in the UK has been pretty good at the moment, so I have actually been able to wear some summer clothes. To be honest, my wardrobe isn't particularly summery, and doesn't often feature much colour..

My outfit is pretty simple, but great to wear as something comfy and cool on a warmer day. I do feel that you need a pair of birkenstocks or birkenstock dupes (like mine), they are a must for summer. They are the comfiest shoes I own, and it's all I have been wearing recently.

Weekend Away in Brighton

Last weekend I was lucky enough to go to Brighton, and to make it even better the weather was beauuuutiful. Brighton is such a lovely place, we spent most of our times wondering around The Lanes, eating lots of yummy food and relaxing on the beach. We discovered so many great places to eat that I need to share!

These pictures were taken when we were shopping in The Lanes on saturday afternoon. I was just about to delve into the Mac and Bare Minerals store ..

WHAT I WORE:

CULOTTES - ZARA
SHOES - NEW LOOK
JACKET - H&M
BAG - ZARA
SUNGLASSES - URBAN OUTFITTERS

So, in the evening we went out for dinner and a few drinks. It was pretty windy, so not warm enough to wear what I had planned.. so I sticked to my current outfit but changed my shoes to make it a bit dressier. I really love the look of the culottes with the heeled boots, I think they make the look a bit edgier but still staying feminine..

Sunny day in London ..

So recently in London the weather has been beautiful. It's even been warm enough to not have to wear a jacket.. and also not even have to wear tights. This is a big deal for everyone who lives in the UK!

My boyfriend and I decided to wander around London for the day to do a bit of shopping and explore new places. It was really nice not to have to rush home or have to do any work for one whole day.

I'm loving the fringe effect style at the moment. I think at adds a really stylish twist to a plain outfit. I'm also really into wearing all white trainers with any outfit to make them a bit more casual but also just to add that slight sports luxe touch. I'm loving my adidas superstars at the moment, probably the comfiest shoes I own!
